2023/2024 New Recruit

Kenedee Good Bird2020 New Town Graduate!! I’ve had the pleasure of coaching Kenedee at the middle school, high school, and now we’ll make it a trifecta as she brings her skills to the collegiate level for NHSC. Kenedee is a hard worker who sees the floor well. I can wait to watch her blossom for the Lady Storm this fall!  STORM!!!
Kane Rabbithead
After a season hiatus, Kane is welcomed back with open arms. Averaging 17.5 ppg 9.5 rbs 3ast 3stls in his last season he played, we’ll look to improve our team with his addition.I spotted this Skinny, tall, blonde Indian boy dunking the ball 4-5 years back before he realized how good he was. As I watched I realized what a true gem he was! I approached him and asked him to play, to which he replied he would, and that he would continue to work on his game. When he showed up a year later, he had gained 40ish pounds of muscle. I’m very proud to have him back. On and off the court, Kane is going to continue to do big things because of the great person he is!!! STORM!!!!
Jose Villa
2023 New Town Graduate!! Jose will participate in Cross-Country and basketball. Jose also participated in baseball and track in high school where he qualified for state in the 2 mile relay and 1 mile run. Jose is a hard working athlete and student. Welcome on board! STORM…

Elmer Flying Horse2023 Mandare Graduate!! Elmer was his classes salutatorian and Mandarees 2023 athlete of the year. Elmer was also the 2023 student academic athlete of the year for his school. Elmer participated in basketball and running and will bring his experience to both sports here at NHSC. A member of the Prairie Chicken Clan, and a Champion Chicken Dancer, we are excited to have Elmer on board! STORM!!!

Eliah Bears Tail2023 Graduate from Shiloh Christian School. Eliah gets his athleticism from both sides of his family. Eliah has been in the starting position since he was a sophomore in High School and has earned many awards and accolades. Last year, he was a part of the Shiloh basketball team that took 2nd place at the state tournament. Coming in around 6’5”, he is one of larger recruits we have had in many years. With a great inside/outside game, we are excited to see this young man in a Storm uniform. STORM!!

Christopher James Anderson2023 Graduate from Bismarck, Chris adds some size to our backcourt along with a good court sense of awareness. Coming in at 6’2” and some change, Chris will be a leader on and off the court with a high school GPA just under 3.5. STORM!!!

Tre’jean Fils6’4” Guard/Forward2022 North Shore Plaza Graduate originally from Boston. Averaged 27ppg, 5rpg, 6apg. Tre’jean played last year for Dakota College where he averaged 5 minutes a game and 5ppg, 3rpg, 3apg. Tre’jean will add size, speed and experience to our team! STORM!!

Kalee Roberts

The 2018 Mandaree graduate has decided to lace up the sneakers and hit the hardwood for the Storm! A enrolled MHA tribal member, Kaylee’s last run with the Storm was cut short due to an ankle injury causing her to Redshirt! We are thankful to have her back and look forward to the upcoming season! STORM!!!

Leilani BentonHas decided to come out this season for the women’s basketball team. She has been a part of the New Town sports program since she started school and will bring experience and a great attitude to our team. Leilani Is an enrolled member and will be starting out taking her basics for school. STORM!!!

Kwynn Bear2023 New Town High School Graduate. Quit did not golf in High School but has been putting in some serious time on the course for the past several season! An MHA enrolled member, Kwynn will take up welding for his first 2 semesters of school this fall! STORM!!!

Dionna Red Bear

A 2018 graduated from McClintock High School in Tempe Arizona. Played all four years of high school ball and AAU. An MHA Tribal member, this will be her second season with the STORM. Her last run with the storm she averaged 17 ppg and 5 rpg! She will bring some much needed court awareness and leadership to this years women’s basketball team! STORM!!

Andrea MeanusWill be returning for her 3rd season with the Storm! She bring a hard work ethic and dedication to our ladies basketball team! Andrea is a member of the Confederate Tribe of Warm Springs and has been also working full time in the finance department here at MHA. STORM!!!!

Marni Chase

MHA enrolled New Town 2022 graduate! Played at the high school level for 2 years. Marni was my past student and player and brings many positive attributes to our team! With good all around skills that could be sharpened a little, Marni will do great with our girls squad! We are thankful to have you! STORM!!!

Angelena McDonaldAngelina brings in experience and dedication to the program that is needed to keep us going in the right direction. Angelina is a Crow Tribal Member she averaged 11ppg and 7rpg at Lodge Grass High School! STORM!!!

Solamon Howe2021 Lodge Grass graduate who averaged 16.2 ppg and 10 rpg. Attended Little Big Horn College where he averaged 37.1 ppg and 13 rpg. Attended our 2023 AIHEC Basketball Tournament where he was voted to our ALL TOURNAMENT TEAM!  STORM!!!

Desean FinleyReady for action, Desean has returned to continue his quest in the fields of XC and Basketball. We are excited to have our local talent representing the community. Desean will do big things this year! STORM!!!

Colt Spotted Bear2023 NTHS Graduate, Colt is a MHA enrolled member and a monster runner and athlete! Colt was selected 3x All State team, and was a part of 2x team state champs! Colt might join the basketball team when all is said and done but for now would like to focus on XC! STORM!!!!

Jessilynn LongFeather Played at Mandaree High School, Averaging 8ppg, 2ast and 4rpg. We are happy to have her join the STORM!!!! 

Dionna RedBear

Dionna RedBear will lace up this fall to represent our Lady Storm on the court! Dionna played 2 years ago for our Storm team when our athletic program first rebooted! Averaging 17.4 points a game, we will take her back with open arms! We look forward to her picking up right where she left off with some much needed help from this years new recruits! STORM!!!

Jessee Vigen “Blue Blossom”
Jessee will compete for the Storm in the areas of Cross Country and Basketball. A MHA enrolled member and member of the Oglala Souix Tribe. Jessee graduated from Mandaree with the highest GPA in her class. A 5 year player/starter in basketball and 2 year runner in cross country, Jessee will look to make a immediate impact in our sports programs. Jesse participates in many different traditional and native rodeo events and will look to be part of the the NHSC equine department! STORM!!!

The Storm XC and Basketball team welcomes, Daysha Serdahl! Daysha is a 2019-2020 graduate of Mandaree schools. As an MHA enrolled member, Daysha graduated on top of her class with Valedictorian honors. Some of Daysha credentials include, All District 3 years, All Region 2 years, 2019-2020 North Dakota All-state 2nd team selection and part of the 2019-2020 North Dakota Lions All-star team. The NHSC Storm family is extremely excited to welcome her aboard.
