Donovan E. Abbey aka DobbyA enrolled member of the Koasati (Coushatta) tribe of Kinder Louisiana and also a proud member of the Hidatsa & Mandan Tribes of Fort Berthold ND. He is a member of the Prairie Chicken clan. He carries his grandfather’s Hidatsa name Bears Ghost. He comes from the Good Bird family of Mandaree ND. Donovan is a father of 8 children. He graduated from Belcourt High School in 2001. He attended United Tribes Technical College and was a member of the 2001 – 2002 UTTC Thunderbirds team that made it to Nationals and also won AIHEC as a forward. He began his coaching career as Head Coach at Mandaree High School for the 2012-2013 Varsity Girls. Head boys coach to 2015-2019 and Assistant girls coach 2019-2020. He has also served as Athletic Director for Mandaree the past 3 years. Donovan is very excited to bring his knowledge in coaching to the collegiate level and bring the woman’s team to the respected measure as the Men’s Storm Basketball team.

Francesca Ross has inked to play for the Lady Storm for the 21-22 season. A native of Crow Creek SD; Francesca has played her last 3 seasons at Mandaree High School, where she averaged 11ppg 4spg 6apg!

The Storm XC and Basketball team welcomes, Daysha Serdahl! Daysha is a 2019-2020 graduate of Mandaree schools. As an MHA enrolled member, Daysha graduated on top of her class with Valedictorian honors. Some of Daysha credentials include, All District 3 years, All Region 2 years, 2019-2020 North Dakota All-state 2nd team selection and part of the 2019-2020 North Dakota Lions All-star team. The NHSC Storm family is extremely excited to welcome her aboard.
